Zenith Bank donates a sum of $82,500 to Black Stars

One of the leading Banks in Ghana, Zenith Bank, has donated a sum of $82,500 to support Black Stars. The donation was made to the Ministry of Youth and Sport in support to our nation team, Black Stars. This is to assist the team in their bid to win the AFCON tournament.

The donation was made in response to President Akufo Addo’s request for Ghana to support the Black Stars. The funding is intended to assist the national squad in progressing to the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. It also to support the national team embark a favorably AFCON tournament next year.

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, the management of Zenith Bank Ghana Limited, led by its Managing Director, Mr. Akindele Ogunranti, handed the cheque to the Ministry of Youth and Sport.

Mr. Ogunranti said that the bank recognizes the importance of sports in the growth of the country. He made this statement during a brief ceremony to present a cheque to Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif. He also used the occasion to express his support for Ghanaian sports.
