Sulley Muntari Scores His First Goal For Hearts Of Oak In Ghana Premier League (+Videos)

In the Ghanaian Premier League, Hearts of Oak faced WAFA in the final game of matchday 19. After a goalless first half, the second half got off to a great start.

Sulley Muntari, who recently joined Hearts of Oak, assisted in giving the home team the lead seconds into the second session. From midfield, he played a wonderful pass forward to Barnieh in the penalty area. He squared the ball to Kojo Obeng Jr., who weaved his way past a number of defenders before beating the keeper from roughly 10 yards out.

WAFA, on the other hand, were equal after only nine minutes thanks to a brilliant free-kick from Derrick Antwi, who gave the relegation-threatened team a much-needed goal with 35 minutes remaining.

After goalkeeper Bonsu fouled Patrick Razak in the 71st minute, Hearts of Oak were awarded a penalty kick, which Sulley Muntari converted.
