Former Black Star captain, Stephen Appiah, was present at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday to watch Hearts of Oak take on Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash match.
Appiah, who spent his early life with the Phobians, was photographed at the stadium wearing his former club’s new Umbro jersey, which prominently featured Sulley Muntari’s name.
Many dignitaries have travelled to renowned stadium in the Accra to watch the crucial match between the two arch rivals.
However, neither team was able to capitalize on the several opportunities that came their way, and the game ended with no winner.
With 37 points from 17 games, Asante Kotoko maintain their lead at the top of the table. Hearts of Oak remain in eighth place with 25 points. The tournament will resume next week with the second round.
