Sergio Ramos Loudly Booed By PSG Fans After Making First Appearance In Two Months

Sergio Ramos was booed and whistled by Paris Saint-Germain fans as he returned from injury for the first time in two months.

Since joining the club after his contract with Real Madrid ended, the 36-year-old has been plagued by injuries.

Fans of Paris Saint-Germain are still upset by the manner in which their team was eliminated from the Champions League in the Round of 16 by the Spanish giants.

Despite the fact that Ramos did not play in the games, he was booed when he came on as a 72nd-minute substitute for Marquinhos in the 5-1 win over Lorient.

When the game resumed after the substitution, Ramos was welcomed with boos each time he touched the ball.

Mauricio Pochettino, the PSG manager who has been linked with the Manchester United post, was also booed by his own supporters.

PSG had a 2-0 aggregate lead going into the second half of the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, only to see their lead drain away in an incredible 18-minute span.

PSG were knocked out of the Champions League as Karim Benzema scored a hat trick, including two goals in 11 seconds, to leave them still searching for their first win in the competition.

Both Lionel Messi and Neymar were booed by fans in their 3-0 victory over Bordeaux just days after the defeat.

Demands for Messi’s exit, as well as insults to other players and staff, were spray-painted on the club’s training center.

Before his appearance against Lorient on Sunday, Ramos had been out with a calf issue since January 23.

Due to injury, his move to the French capital has not gone as planned, with only three starts in all competitions this season.

He signed a two-year contract with the club, although his future with the club beyond this summer remains questionable.

PSG now leads Ligue 1 by 12 points after a win that saw Kylian Mbappe and Neymar score braces, with Lionel Messi also scoring.
