It is no secret that Brazilian sensation Endrick is being monitored by the who’s who of European football at the moment.
The 16-year-old Palmeiras forward made waves at the Copinha tournament earlier this year after which he is being courted by top clubs across Europe. Real Madrid are one of the suitors of the young striker, but face competition from the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
And, as per a report from Libertad Digital, PSG have already made their first move to try and sign Endrick by tabling an offer worth €20 million. However, Palmeiras have swiftly knocked back the proposal made by the Ligue 1 giants.
Endrick signed his first professional contract with Palmeiras in July earlier this year after he turned 16 years old. The young forward committed his future to the club until 2025.
Following that, he has even made his first-team debut for the Brazilian outfit, featuring in three games. While the youngster is set to score a senior goal, the potential and promise he has are there for everyone to see.
So, it should not come as a surprise that PSG, driven by key official Antero Henrique, made an attempt to lure Endrick and beat the rest of the competition by offering €20 million.
But their offer has been rejected by Palmeiras, who could demand as much as €70 million for the teenage sensation.
The report adds that Real Madrid’s chief scout, Juni Calafat, is receiving excellent reports from his right-hand man about Endrick.
Still just 16 years old, Endrick will only be able to leave Brazil after two years when he turns 18. But clubs will continue to try and seal his signing before that to avoid competition. With PSG having made their first move, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid react or decide to wait.
