PSG Make Approach to Discuss Posible Transfer For Cristiano Ronaldo Amidst Uncertainty Surrounding Manchester United Future

PSG has contacted super agent Jorge Mendes to register their interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to 90Min.

At the start of the season, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United after a 12-year total absence. In 27 appearances for the club in all competitions, he has 15 goals and three assists to his name. The 37-year-old is said to be unhappy at the club as a result of the season’s events, and he could leave in the summer.

Ronaldo’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2023, but recent reports say that he may go sooner.

PSG signed Lionel Messi on a free transfer to begin the season, and they are expected to lose Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid in the summer. They are rumored to be interested in signing the Portuguese international to play alongside Lionel Messi next season.

The French club is also certain about replacing Mauricio Pochettino with Zinedine Zidane at the end of the season, which should help them land Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite taking the lead against Burnley and Southampton, Manchester United lost both games. The lack of a proper central defensive midfielder and the form of club captain Harry Maguire continue to be the most visible issues.

In such a scenario, Ronaldo could be forgiven for preferring to go on and finish his incredible tenure at PSG with more trophies.
