PSG Have No Reason To Envy The Historically Big Clubs – Messi

Many critics of the Qatari project have stated that Paris Saint-Germain have little history and that their all-star line-up of expensive talent cannot compete with the grandeur of clubs built on the more traditional foundations of historic success and popularity. Lionel Messi says that Paris Saint-Germain have no reason to envy the historically big clubs.
Those same doubters believe that the French club will take time to catch up to them, and that they will not be able to claim to be in the conversation until they have won the Champions League.
PSG, on the other hand, have nothing to envy from other clubs in terms of Messi, and have already established themselves among the game’s titans.
The Argentine star spoke to the club’s official magazine about his first impressions of his new club and how he is adjusting to life in Paris so far.
“PSG is a club that is growing, that has desire, and that is eager to continue growing,” Messi stated.
“There is opportunity for growth and the ability to do so.” “[PSG] are among the world’s most powerful clubs, and they continue to grow and develop; they have no reason to envy historically powerful teams.”
