Six Premier League players have been shortlisted for the prestigious PFA Player of the Year award, including Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
Salah won the Golden Boot award after becoming the EPL’s top scorer during the year under review, and the duo had a fantastic season.
Ronaldo, on his part, shone brightly at Old Trafford during a tough season for the Red Devils.
During the 2021/22 season, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored 18 goals in the English Premier League.
Ronaldo will become the first-ever three-time winner of the trophy if he wins it this year, according to Man Utd, after winning it twice during his initial spell with the Red Devils.
Liverpool players dominate the list of nominees for the award, with three of the six currently played for the Champions League runners-up.

Salah is joined on the podium by Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk, who also had a good season in which they won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
The trio will, however, be aware of competition from Kevin de Bruyne and Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite the fact that Kane did not win a trophy with the North Londoners, he was instrumental in ensuring their return to the Champions League with a top-four result.
Meanwhile, De Bruyne led Manchester City to their eighth Premier League title, which they won by a single point over Liverpool.
