Manchester City Eliminate Atletico To Face Real Madrid, Liverpool Reach Semis

Guardiola and Manchester City knocked Atletico Madrid out of the Champions League on Wednesday night after a tense scoreless draw at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.

Following their last-eight aggregate win against Benfica, Liverpool’s road to the Champions League final has become clear. 

The final four minutes of Atletico Madrid’s Champions League match against Manchester City were marred by a four-minute scuffle that resulted in Felipe getting sent off and Stefan Savic and Nathan Ake being reprimanded. 

Tensions arose in the dying minutes in Madrid as City hung on to their slim lead in the race to the last four.
