Man Utd 1-1 Southampton: Red Devils blow lead to draw again, Sancho nets

Manchester United were held by Southampton as they continue to lose critical points in their fight to finish in the top four. From a Marcus Rashford pass, Jadon Sancho completed an incredible counter-attack to score the first Old Trafford goal.

Che Adams scored a deserving equalizer off the post for Southampton just after half-time. With Harry Maguire, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Diogo Dalot all denied playing time, United had a good chance to win.

Armando Broja had a chance to win it for Saints, but his chipped finish wasn’t quite perfect. United missed out on the chance to move above West Ham after dropping points for the third game in a row. 

Manchester United blew another lead as they dropped critical points in the quest for the top four at Old Trafford, as Southampton grabbed a well-deserved point. Ralf Rangnick’s side seized the lead 21 minutes in when Jadon Sancho tapped in Marcus Rashford’s cross from the right flank.

However, Southampton responded superbly to equalize the score with a great finish from Che Adams soon after half-time. United had chances to win the game but failed to take them, allowing them to fall out of contention for a place in the Champions League.
