Paris Saint-Germain didn’t have any issues in the first match of their Japanese tour as they defeated Kawasaki 2-1.
The French giants were a cut above the J1 League outfit, with Lionel Messi scoring a rebound and Arnaud Kalimuendo netting the other.
PSG’s starting XI – Donnarumma; Kimpembe, Ramos, Marquinhos; Achraf, Vitinha, Gueye, Nuno Mendes; Messi; Neymar, Mbappe – is one that may be seen regularly, with Marco Verratti, who was in the stands, the only noticeable absentee.
New coach Christophe Galtier tested his new three-man defence, with two wingbacks and an attacking trident at the top, though they were arranged differently than before.
Messi played as the No.10, while Neymar was on the right and Mbappe on the left.
The Parisians dominated the first half, much to the delight of the Japanese fans.
Messi was involved in both goals, the first coming from a corner kick, while the second saw him play a one-two with Juan Bernat that was finished off by the aforementioned Kalimuendo.
