Karim Benzema Scores Spectacular Goal For France vs Denmark in Nations League Match

On Friday evening, Karim Benzema scored another incredible goal for France against Denmark in their Nations League match.

The Real Madrid striker has been on fire this season, and six minutes into the second half, he gave Les Bleus the lead.

And that was a goal that was brilliantly taken.

On the right side, Benzema took up the ball and played a one-two with Christopher Nkunku.

After escaping three defenders, the 34-year-old attacker curled the ball into the corner with his left foot.

In the 2021/22 season, he scored 50 goals for both club and country. He’s also scored in each of his national team’s last five games.

It would be a travesty if he doesn’t win the Ballon d’Or in 2022 after leading Real Madrid to La Liga and Champions League victory.

However, Benzema’s goal was not enough to save France from a stunning late comeback by Denmark.

On the hour mark, Andreas Cornelius came off the bench and equalized eight minutes later. With two minutes remaining in the game, the Danish striker added his second goal.

Under pressure from William Saliba, Cornelius sprinted onto a through ball and rifled his effort into the roof of the net.

France didn’t have enough time to equalize, and Denmark hung on to win a surprising 2-1 victory at the Stade de France.

In the other Group A match, Austria defeated Croatia 3-0. On Monday, France will face Croatia, while Denmark will go to Austria on the same day.
