Thomas Tuchel’s side joined the list of top Premier League teams like Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal who have released their home kits for next season, with about a month left before the league commences in August.
Chelsea’s kit unveiling today means that the club has stepped up in preparations for next season,with only a few signings remaining before the transfer window is closed. Already,the club is closing down on their first summer signing with Raheem Sterling of Manchester City.
With personal terms now agreed between both parties, Chelsea is close to paying £45 million for the Englishman,with Thomas Tuchel looking forward to having him in his squad.
Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United,who has been left out of Manchester United’s preseason tours this week is also on Chelsea’s radar,with the club preparing a €15 million bid to submit to the Red Devils,as per SkySports.
Matthijs De Ligt of Juventus is also being monitored by the Blues,but a strong rival in the face of Bayern Munich could end up signing him, which is why Chelsea is not keen on the 22 year old Dutch center back. However,a move for him this summer has not been ruled out by Chelsea’s board despite Juventus high price tag on him.
A summer signing of Raheem Sterling, Cristiano Ronaldo and Matthijs De Ligt could lead Chelsea to trophies next season,with Thomas Tuchel more keen on the Premier League,as he had already won the Champions League trophy in his first season at the club.
Here is how Chelsea could lineup with the trio of Raheem Sterling, Cristiano Ronaldo and Matthijs De Ligt if they are later signed in order to win the Premier League trophy next season;
