How Chelsea Could Line Up For Their First Pre-season Match Without Any Signings

Chelsea will play their first preseason match on July 16, when they take on Club America as part of the “Clash of Nations” tour.

On July 2, two weeks before their opening match, Thomas Tuchel’s team will reconvene for preseason practice.

Tuchel should have a full squad available for the opening match, but not all first-team players are anticipated to return to training on that day as many played in international games earlier in the month.

Whether Chelsea will be able to make any deals anytime soon is still very much unknown.

Despite recent links to a few players, the management structure shuffle and player contract extensions appear to be the current top priorities.

Tuchel may be forced to start against Club America with an XI made up entirely of players already on the team and no new additions. This is one possible scenario.
