Chelsea’s Goal of the Month award for February was awarded to Morocco winger Hakim Ziyech for his goal against Crystal Palace.
Ziyech has secured the award for the second consecutive month, despite his absence from Morocco’s national squad. The goal was voted by Chelsea fans via the club’s online platforms.
In January 2022, Ziyech received a similar award for his spectacular strike against Tottenham Hotspur.

“It was another fine finish by the 28-year-old, showcasing his cool head and flawless technique as he patiently watched Marcos Alonso’s deep cross all the way before side-footing a volley into the back of the net at the back post,” Chelsea website reports.
“That composure was made even more impressive by the fact his strike was a last-minute winner away from home in a game which had already seen Ziyech have one goal ruled out by VAR.”
Ziyech received 32% of the vote, beating out Chelsea Under-18s’ Harvey Vale’s goal in the FA Youth Cup quarter-final win over Blackpool.
Cesar Azpilicueta’s back-heel flick against Plymouth Argyle was third, with Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic’s Champions League goals against Lille coming in third and fourth, respectively, according to the Chelsea website.
