Brazil has produced some of the most iconic players in the history of world football. From Pelé to Garrincha and Ronaldo to Kaká, the country has a back catalogue of stars that is scarcely believable.
No other nation can match it. For all of Italy, Germany or Argentina’s great pedigree as footballing powers, they are no equal for Brazil in terms of star power and status.
Without further hesitation, let’s take a look at who I personally rate as the Top 3 players in Brazil’s footballing history.
One of the greatest player Brazil has produced is Marcelo. He is known for his offensive capabilities and technical qualities. He is often regarded as one of the greatest left-backs of all time. At the club level, he is the most decorated player in the history of Real Madrid, with 25 trophies.
Due to his skill, attacking abilities, achievements, and decisive performances in important games, he is considered by many in the sport to be the best left back in the world, one of Brazil’s best players ever and one of the greatest left backs of all time.
Another great player Brazil has produced is Neymar. He has played several matches for his national team and have won several trophies as well. At the international level, he has 74 goals in 119 matches making him the second highest goalscorer for his national team.
His main traits are creativity, vision, passing, finishing, dribbling, feints, touch, and techniques. He is a notable exponent of the rainbow flick. Neymar is also a prolific goalscorer who is capable of scoring with both feet, as well as with his head. He is an accurate free-kick and penalty taker.
Ronaldinho is one of the greatest Brazilian player in history. During his career, he played mostly as an attacking midfielder, but was also deployed as a winger.
He won two FIFA World Player of the Year awards and a Ballon d’Or. Ronaldinho was known for his technical skills, creativity, dribbling ability and accuracy from free-kicks, his use of tricks, feints, no-look passes and overhead kicks. He has been praised for his ability to score and create goals.
