Ghana Black Stars Get a Huge Boost Ahead of Their Match Against Super Eagles of Nigeria

Ghanaian attacking midfielder Daniel Kofi-Kyereh, on Saturday, proved why he was one of the West African nation’s greatest stars at the AFCON 2021 tournament.

On the 59th minute, the 25-year-old came off the bench for Etienne Amenyido and had an immediate impact for St. Pauli against Jahn Regensburg in Germany’s second division.

The visitors were the better team in the first half , putting pressure on the home team, which paid off when Etienne Amenyido scored the first goal in the seventh minute of gameplay.

St. Pauli were awarded a penalty three minutes after the first goal, which Guido Burgstaller converted flawlessly on the 11th minute for a 2-0 halftime lead.

When St. Paul returned from halftime, they fell asleep for a short time, allowing Jahn Regensburg to steal a goal from Andreas Albers’ boot in the 56th minute.

The home side increased their effort in an attempt to equalize, but they were unlucky as Daniel Kyereh, who had recovered from an AFCON injury, came off the bench to extend St. Pauli’s lead, putting the home side in even more trouble.

Regensburg, on the other hand, stayed relentless in the search of a second goal, which they later achieved in the 73rd minute through David Otto.

Kofi Kyereh has played 5 games for Ghana Black Stars. He played for Ghana in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where he excelled against debutants Comoros in a 3-2 loss in the last Group C encounter.
