FIFA Throws Out SAFA’s protest on Alleged Match-Fixing Against Ghana

South Africa Football Association’s protest on alleged match fixing against Ghana has been thrown out by FIFA. This came about after a complaint was lodged by SAFA on an alleged match fixing.

SAFA lodged a complaint against the match officials to FIFA. It happened after Bafana Bafana missed out a place in the World Cup play-off. They lost 1-0 to the Blacks of Ghana.

According to SAFA, they accused the match officials for deliberately favoring Ghana while alleging a match fixing.

However, FIFA reviewed that case and later reported that the protest by SAFA lacks merit hence it has been thrown out. SAFA’s protest was unable to meet the requirements of the FIFA disciplinary code and art.
