Dortmund Want To Bring Werner Back To Bundesliga, Chelsea Ready To Talk

Timo Werner’s miserable spell at Chelsea could be over if Borussia Dortmund can get him back to the Bundesliga. Since joining the Blues for £45 million from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020, the 25-year-old has failed to meet the expectations.

He has only 18 goals in 75 appearances for the Blues, with only six goals this season after scoring 95 goals in 159 appearances for his former club.

Dortmund is considering bringing Werner back to Germany this summer, according to Sky Germany.

Chelsea are also pleased with the German international despite his struggles and do not want to push a transfer. They are, however, claimed to be’ready to discuss’ if the proper offer comes in for him.

One financial concern for Dortmund would be Werner, who earns more at Chelsea than any other player in the Bundesliga. He is paid roughly £13.3 million per year, while Dortmund captain Marco Reus is paid little over £10 million.
