De Bruyne Shines As Belgium Thrash Lewandowski’s Poland in Nations League

Belgium came from behind to defeat Poland 6-1 in the Nations League, bouncing back from their loss to the Netherlands.
On Wednesday, June 8, the Red Devils were fresh off a 4-1 thrashing by the Netherlands, and they were definitely looking to make a statement.
However, Roberto Martinez’s side got off to a horrible start when Robert Lewandowski, an unsettled striker, opened the scoring in the 28th minute with an excellent finish.
Prior to the halftime, Belgium equalized with Axel Witsel, who scored from outside the box.
Belgium dominated the second half, with goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Leander Dendoncker, debutant Lois Openda, and a brace from Leandro Trossard from the bench ensuring an impressive victory.
Eden Hazard was one of the better performers on the night, showing flashes of his previous self despite a season marred by injury at Real Madrid.
Hazard managed to play for 66 minutes before being substituted, but only after he had missed a rather simple chance in front of the Poland goal.
With the win, Belgium moved ahead of the Netherlands in Group A4, despite the fact that both teams have the same number of points.
