Croatia vs France on Monday night, June 6, a UEFA Nations League Group A match in Poljud Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw.
The match was a rematch of the 2018 World Cup final, which France won 4-2 against Croatia.
The two European superpowers entered into the match hoping to get back on track after losing their group openers.
While France was humiliated 2-1 by Denmark, Croatia was thrashed 3-0 by Austria, led by ex-Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
After 90 minutes of action, though, there was nothing to separate the two teams as they shared the spoils in Split. As the visitors gradually warmed into the game, the tie was evenly poised in the early exchanges.
The hosts, however, drew first blood, with Luka Modric coming close just before the half-hour mark. Soon after, RB Leipzig player Christopher Nkunku thought he had put France ahead, but his goal was disallowed for offside, and the first half ended 0-0.
Adrien Rabiot then scored his second international goal in the 52nd minute to break the tie.
