Especially when you consider that McCarthy will be charged with mentoring and coaching one of the deadliest goal getters on the planet in Cristiano Ronaldo. Fans have voiced their amusement and imagining what the 44-year-old can tell the Portuguese legend about goal-scoring.

With one fan stating ‘Never thought I’d see the day Benni McCarthy would be coaching Cristiano Ronaldo. A crazy world we live in’.
