Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his delight after assisting Villarreal to reach the Champions League semifinals, knocking out German champions Bayern Munich.
Villarreal defeated Bayern Munich in the first leg of their quarterfinal match, and will now fly to Germany for the second leg on Wednesday, April 13th.
Bayern Munich’s super striker Robert Lewandowski scored the game’s first goal, and German fans were optimistic that their players would score more goals.
Unai Emery substituted Samuel Chukwueze in the 84th minute, and the Nigerian scored the equalizer to give his team a 1-1 tie and a 2-1 aggregate victory.
According to a GOAL report, Samuel Chukwueze stated that he followed Unai Emery’s instructions.
This what he said in an interview: “It was not a bad night, I think so. It wanted to be a bad night but unfortunately for the night, it turned out well.
“I think it’s a very great moment. One of the best of my life. The best thing that happens in life is football. I’m so so happy and the team is happy and the fans… That means the goal means a lot to them.”
