Black Stars In Hot Trouble As Top Nigeria Strikers Agrees To Return for World Cup Qualifiers

In March, Ghana will host Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the final round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The opening match takes place on March 24 at Cape Coast Stadium, with the second leg three days later at Nigeria’s Moshood Abiola Stadium.

Ghana must win both legs of the two-legged contest to qualify for the World Cup after missing out on the last edition in Russia. Ghana has already competed in three editions, starting with the 2006 edition in Germany and ending with the 2010 edition in South Africa.

However, the Black Stars must contend with the return of some key players in Nigeria’s team before the crucial match. Emmanuel Osimhen of Napoli is expected to play in the crucial match in March.

Emmanuel Denis, who was not released by English side Watford in time for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, is expected to play. The Black Stars’ defense will now have to contend with many strikers when they face Nigeria in March.
