Benzema’s Opening Goal At Stamford Bridge Named UEFA Champions League Goal Of The Season

Karim Benzema continues to be lauded for his outstanding season.

UEFA’s technical observers have named the Frenchman’s first goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as the 2021/22 Champions League Goal of the Season.

They chose a list of the top 10 goals to be voted on by supporters.

The Real Madrid striker’s goal is first on the list, followed by Vini Jr.’s third goal in the trip to Shakhtar Donetsk, which came after a superb piece of individual play.

Asensio’s thunderous right-footed strike against Inter at the Bernabéu is ranked fifth, while Rodrygo’s effort against Chelsea on home soil is ranked eighth.
