According to journalist Hadrien Grenier, FC Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is likely to join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of the season.
Dembele’s contract is set to expire in less than six months. At the end of the season, he will be able to leave the Camp Nou on a free transfer.
According to the the above source, the French winger and the Parisian giants have reached a deal verbally. When Dembele’s contract with Barcelona expires on June 30th, he will join the Ligue 1 giants.
Since his €140 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017, Ousmane Dembele has had a difficult time in Spain. Long-term injuries have troubled the 24-year-old winger throughout his career, denying him any stability at Barcelona.
Starting in the 2022-23 season, Dembele will aim to revive his bright career in his home nation.
PSG is anticipated to be in the market for a new attacker in the upcoming season. At the end of the season, the Parisian giants are set to lose star forward Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid on a free transfer.
PSG would benefit from signing Dembele. Despite his injury history, the World Cup-winning winger is still 24 years old and still has a lot to contribute in his career. Also, Dembele will be available on a free transfer, which is a risk the Ligue 1 giants are willing to take.
On Sunday, Ousmane Dembele played a key role in Barcelona’s 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the El Clasico. As the Catalan giants secured a memorable triumph, he made two assists to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ronald Araujo.
Despite the fact that he is approaching the end of his contract, Dembele has been a key player for Xavi Hernandez’s side. In his last five La Liga games for the club, the winger has a goal and seven assists.
This season, he has a total of two goals and nine assists in 21 appearances for Barcelona across all competitions.
