Barca remain in the fight for Endrick, Palmeiras’ new Brazilian talent. According to ‘Sport’, Barca told the footballer that he will have to wait until the summer if he wants to play at the Camp Nou.
Barca had calculated that they would earn 40 million euros from the Champions League. Being knocked out was a huge blow for them, but winning the Europa League would make up for the lost earnings.
Until then, Barca have had to put several deals on the backburner. Among them, the signing of Endrick. According to ‘Sport’, Barca told the promising Brazilian youngster that he should wait until the summer in order to make any type of agreement with Palmeiras.
In addition, the same media outlet said that the relationship between Barca and the player’s inner circle is very fluid. In fact, in the month of September, they set down the foundations for a possible agreement.
The Catalan side’s plan was to sign Endrick this January and for him to not move to Europe until summer 2024. The major European setback has forced them to change strategy.
