Barcelona Plans To Sign Chelsea’s Defender Christensen On A Free Transfer

Andreas Christensen is thinking about his future, as his Chelsea contract expires in the summer. Barcelona is one of the clubs interested in signing the Danish centre-back, but there are many others.

According to sources close to the players, Barcelona is in the middle of the pack. They’re not his first choice, but neither are they at the bottom of his list.

The 25-year-old intends to make his decision in the next month or two, which means Barcelona must step up their attempts to convince him to transfer to the Camp Nou.

In the summer, Barcelona will look to bolster their center defense, and Christensen would be a good fit. He moved from Brondby to Chelsea’s academy and spent two years on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach before becoming a regular starter for Chelsea and helping them win the Champions League in 2020/21.

Even though he is only 25, Christensen is an experienced European footballer. He’s a very appealing free agent, and several clubs are interested in signing him this summer.

Chelsea, Christensen’s current club, is one of the clubs interested in signing him. The potential of a contract renewal remains open, which means that any other interested parties will have to act quickly.

Barcelona is interested and will work hard in the coming weeks to convince the Denmark international that the Camp Nou is the best place for him to continue his career.
