Barcelona Drops Interest In Erling Haaland Following Their Financial Crisis

Real Madrid’s pursuit of Erling Haaland has been boosted by their rivals’ decision to withdraw from the race for the top striker due to financial difficulties.

Barcelona executives are now attempting to ease their troubles after years of poor spending caught up with them and they were unable to register Lionel Messi, who was then forced to leave for PSG.

However, in the January transfer window, Barcelona recruited Ferran Torres as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been outstanding in all competitions so far this season.

In fact, the loss of Sergio Aguero, who was forced to retire from sport because of heart difficulties, has not been felt by Barcelona.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta made it oh his statement that, “I insist, I will not talk about specific players but I can tell you that we will not carry out any operation that puts the institution at risk.

“It has been a maxim that we have followed since we became president again, it happened to us in various circumstances and we are going to continue with this philosophy, not to put the institution at risk with operations that, not even if we were already healthy, we would.”
