Aston Villa Appoints Steven Gerrard as Head Coach

Aston Villa Football Club appoints Steven Gerrard as the new Head Coach. The club announced on Thursday, November 11.

Gerrard led Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title last season, finishing the season undefeated in the league. He joined Rangers in 2018 following a spell as an Academy Coach at Liverpool.

CEO of the club Christian Purslow praised Gerrard for his great work at his previous clubs. He also expressed that the board of Aston Villa are delighted to appoints Steven Gerrard as the new head coach.

According to Steven Gerrard, Aston Villa is a club with a rich history and tradition in English football. He is proud to become its new Head Coach.

Gerrard also added that he is looking forward to help the club achieve their aims.

Finally, Gerrard express his gratitude to everybody at Rangers for the opportunity to manage the club. He added that helping them secure a record-breaking 55th league title will always hold a special place in his heart. 

Additionally, Gerrard wished the players, staff and supporters the very best for the future.

The former player enjoyed a glittering playing career with Liverpool and England.
