Arsenal and Chelsea dominate PFA Young Player of the Year Nominees

The six-man shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year award has been announced, with Manchester City’s Phil Foden topping the list.

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe were also nominated for the prize alongside Chelsea’s right-back Reece James.

Conor Gallagher, who excelled on loan from Chelsea in Crystal Palace’s midfield, and Aston Villa’s young sensation Jacob Ramsey make out the top six newcomers of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, Foden is hoping to win the award for the second consecutive season after winning it last season, a feat last achieved by Dele Alli at Tottenham Hotspur in 2017.
