Liverpool player Sadio Mane has disclosed that winning the Africa Cup of Nations is his greatest achievement. Mane had a long-held dream of one day winning the Afcon trophy for his country.
Sadio Mane says it’s something he’s wanted to do since he was a kid. The best type of sensation is witnessing it happen in real life.
When he heard the Senegalese national team had lost a match as a child, he confessed he was overwhelmed with grief.
“Today is the most beautiful day of my life. This is my favorite of all the cups I’ve won. It’s like though I’m in a dream” Sadio Mane said.
“I used to cry every time the national team lost a football match when I was a kid,” he told reporters.
Senegal won its first Africa Cup of Nations after Mane netted the game-winning penalty. That was the happiest day of his life, and the best trophy he had ever won.
