5 Players Chelsea Should Bench In Their Next Fixtures In Order To Improve Their Performance

Chelsea has not been at their very best since the start of the new season, recording only one win against Everton in their first match, drew with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in their second fixture, and lost at Elland Road against Leeds United.

So far, the fans are not pleased with their performance despite their expensive summer signings.

Thomas Tuchel need to be dropped from players from the starting line-up in order for them to perform better in upcoming matches.

Here are the players to be benched from Chelsea’s starting line-up:

1. Kai Havertz

So far, since the start of the season the German international has been struggling to find his form. He hasn’t contributed to Chelsea’s attack yet, and should be removed from the starting line-up until he is back on his game.

2. Marc Cucurella

Chelsea’s new signing Cucurella hasn’t showed us his true qualities yet. He needs time to adapt to the new system so he should remove from their starting line-up.

Ben Chilwell is more experienced on the role than Cucurella and should be in the starting line-up instead.

3. Raheem Sterling

Chelsea’s first signing of the summer, Reheem Sterling was signed from Manchester City to help solve their scoring problems but seems he hasn’t adapted to his position yet.

He misses lots of goal-scoring chances and also losses possession easily.

3. Cesar Azpilicueta

The veteran Spanish defender looked like someone who was not prepared for the match yesterday despite the fact that he was involved in the team’s pre-season matches. It is very clear that his age is begining to affect his input for the team.

The blues might struggle to get a positive result from their upcoming matches if they continue to use Cesar Azpilicueta as one of their defenders. He should be dropped because he is now struggling to keep up with the speed and strength of some attackers.

5. Mason Mount

The young English playmaker was a shadow of himself in the premier league encounter against Everton football club yesterday. He was also producing this kind of performance during pre-season matches. He should not be a regular starter for Chelsea football club this season.

The young lad was not able to create any clear chance for the team. He had two shots on goal yesterday against Everton but he could not get any goal. He struggled to make an impact in the match as he was easily pocketed by the players of Everton Football Club.
