5 Of The Most In-Form Players In English Premier League 2022 Season

The Premier League’s relentless schedule may be extremely taxing for players, and it can have a significant impact on their performances, resulting in a wide range of results.

Some athletes, on the other hand, manage to overcome the pressures of a busy schedule and perform to their full potential until the season’s end. Some of these players put up great performances in April 2022.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the Premier League’s five most in-form players right now.

  • Ivan Toney

Ivan Toney is the leading scorer with 12 goals for the promoted Brentford club in the Premier League. If all competitions are taken into account, he has scored 14 goals. He has five assists in total, four of which came in the EPL.

With 29 EPL appearances under his belt, he has an average of 0.42 goals and 0.14 assists per 90 minutes played.

Toney’s most memorable performance so far this season has been a hat-trick against Norwich in a 3-1 away win. With 33 goals last season, he was the EFL’s (second-division league, following the EPL) leading goal scorer.

Eriksen’s assists came against Burnley and Watford, respectively. The latter was a spectacular strike that occurred in the 95th minute from a free-kick that Pontus Janson headed clean into the goal.

  • Son Heung-min

Heung-min With 17 goals, Son is tied for second place in the EPL scoring race with Cristiano Ronaldo. Son has averaged 0.59 goals and 0.21 assists per 90 minutes in 30 EPL games. He has seven assists in the EPL.

  • Bruno Guimaraes

Bruno Guimaraes moved to Newcastle United from Lyon for £40 million during the January transfer window. Since then, the defensive midfielder has had four goals and an assist in 13 Premier League games.

With those goals, Guimaraes was instrumental in keeping Newcastle United out of the relegation zone. Guimaraes’ first goal was a memorable one, as he scored the game-winning goal in the 53rd minute against Southampton.

He would not score a goal until a month later, when he broke the jinx by scoring two goals in a well-deserved 2–1 victory over Leicester. A header in the 95th minute was the game-winner.
