5 Ghanaian Europe Based Players Who Are Likely To Play For Ghana At 2022 World Cup

Ghana has been assigned to a group featuring Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea for the Qatar World Cup.

Though some fans believe Ghana would not qualify from the group, others believe the Black Stars can qualify if these five international players agree to play for Ghana.

  • Callum Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi is an English winger who plays for Chelsea in the Premier League and for the England national team.

Hudson Odoi is still eligible to play for Ghana despite having dual nationality and three England caps.

Despite the fact that Callum Hudson-Odoi has yet to accept the trade, professional sports commentators claim that he is simply thinking about it.

  • Inaki Willams

Athletic Bilbao is his club, and he is a forward. In an interview, he stated that his parents are from Accra, but that he was not born or reared in Ghana.

Despite the lack of official confirmation, Williams is one of the players Ghana should expect to join the team for the World Cup.

He is a Premier League right winger for Brighton and a member of the England Under-21 squad.

Although he has not declared his intention to join the national squad, the GFA has identified him as one of the players who will eventually do so.

Southampton’s Salisu plays as a center back. Salisu was originally called up for the AFCON in 2021, however he had to withdraw due to injury.

In 17 games for England U21, the 22-year-old has 16 goals. Eddie Nketia is still a member of the Black Stars’ squad.

According to reports, Thomas Partey, the Black Stars’ deputy captain, is persuading him to play for Ghana.
