3 Top Brazilian Players Who Are From Nigeria

Nigeria is a country which is noted with a lot of great footballers.

A lot of their players then decide to naturalised to foreign countries.

These players were born in Brazil but are originally Nigerians;

1. Alexander

Alexander Akinduro do Carmo Akingbulugbe, simply known as Alexander, is a Brazilian footballer who played as a defender for Planaltina.

In 2018, he started his professional senior career with FK Egnatia, where he made three appearances before joining União Suzano the following year.

After making six appearances for the club, scoring one goal, he joined Planaltina.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Alexander is originally from Nigeria.

2. Dominic Vinicius

Dominic Vinícius Eberechukwu Uzoukwu, simply known as Dominic Vinicius, is a 27-year-old Brazilian-Nigerian footballer currently playing as a forward for Vejle Boldklub.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil to parents of Nigerian descent, Vinicius’ playing career kicked off with the Brazilian youth team of Corinthians.

After his spell with Athletico Paranaense, he made his senior appearance with Athletico Paranaense where he made five appearances before he was loaned to Cuiabá, and then Portuguesa.

3. Franklin

Franklin Joseph Tochukwu Onwudiwe, simply known by his name Franklin, is a Brazilian footballer currently playing as a defender for Paraná.

Before the second half of 2018 to 2019 season, Franklin was signed to Lokomotiva.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, the 23-year-old talented footballer is from Nigeria.

He is eligible to represent Brazil or Nigeria at the international senior level.
