The 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final, which took place in front of a packed house at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, saw Banyana Banyana defeat Morocco 2-1.

Hildah Magaia provided a fantastic assist for Jermaine Seopesenwe to score the game’s first goal in the 63rd minute. After a spectacular pass from Karabo Dlamini in the 71st minute, she doubled the advantage before anyone had a chance to catch their breath.

Rosella Ayana pulled one back after a careless turnover by Banyana, which complicated matters just as it appeared that the South Africans would cruise home with ease. The following 20 minutes, which included nine minutes of referee discretionary time, were tense, but the visitors persevered to win the final for the first time in six tries.
