11 World-Class Players Who Were Named in 2021-22 PFA Team of the Year

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Cristiano Ronaldo have all been named to the PFA Premier League Team of the 2021-22 Season.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, who won the Premier League Golden Boot with Mo Salah with 23 goals, were noticeably missing from the list. 

Six Liverpool players are included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for 2021-22, with three from champions Man City and one each from Chelsea and Manchester United.

In goal, Alisson Becker was chosen ahead of Man City’s shot-stopper and compatriot Ederson Moraes, while Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool was chosen in the right-back position, with PFA Player of the Year nominee Virgil Van Dijk and newly-signed Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger. 

Joao Cancelo, a multi – functional defender for Manchester City, completes the back four at left-back.

Thiago Alcantara will partner Kevin De Bruyne and Bernado Silva from the title-winning team in midfield. 

Heung-min Son, the joint Golden Boot winner, and Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Kane were also left out.

They were joined by African duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who shared the top scoring prize with Son, and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
