The 2022 summer transfer window have been very busy for many top European clubs. There are many teams who are still in negotiation with the clubs of their summer prospect, while some players are close to completing their medicals and signing a contract with their new team. Alot of deals were completed over the past weekend and let’s quickly take a short review on some of these deals.
Barcelona completed the transfer deal of Robert Lewandowski in the past weekend. The Spanish club has been very busy in the summer transfer window and the Polish striker is now the fifth player joining the club. Lewandowski is the most valuable player who switched clubs over the weekend and has already met the rest of Barcelona team in United States. Moreso, Kalidou Koulibaly who was signed from Napoli from Chelsea is ranked second on the list. The Centre-back featured in first Chelsea Pre-Season games which ended in 2-1 victory.
However, Lisandro Martinez who completed his move from Ajax Amsterdam to Manchester united is currently the third most valuable player to switch team over the past weekend. The Argentine defender will join Maguire and Varane in execution of defensive role in the 2022/23 season. He has travelled to join the rest of the squad in the Pre-Season friendlies.
Nevertheless, Paris Saint-Germain has been very active in the 2022 summer transfer window. The French giants completed the transfer deal of H. Ekitike over the past weekend and he will be competing in the 2022/23 Ligue-1 season.
There are many other most valuable players who switched clubs over the past weekend. M. Svanberg, U. Nunez, D. Leite, T. Henry, M. Caldara and W. Falcone. Most of these deals were completed by teams outside the Europe’s top five leagues.
