The Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah who won the League cup and FA cup with Liverpool in the 2021/22 season, is the most valuable African player on the world. Salah who won the Premier league golden boot last season is just 10 million Euros away from a market value of 100 million Euros. His teammate Sadio Mane who recently moved to Bayern Munich is the second player on the list. The Senegalese professional won two domestic cups with Liverpool last season and will be playing in the Bundesliga next season.
Asides Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, other players whose market value are more than 50 million Euros includes Victor Osimhen, Achraft Hakimi and Wilfred Ndidi. However, Hakimi won the Ligue-1 title with Paris Saint-Germain in the 2021/22 season, while Ndidi and Osimhen are the only two Nigerian players in the list. Franck Kessie is one of the players who is below 50 million market valuation but won a Silverware in the 2021/22 season. Kessie won the Scudetto title with AC Milan and will likely move to Barcelona this summer.
Asides Kessie, other players whose market value are below 50 million Euros includes Thomas Partey, Tapsoba, Wilfred Zaha and Bissouma. However, Bissouma completed his transfer move to Tottenham this summer. He will be playing for Antonio Conte’s team next season. Moreover, mots of these African players in the list will be representing their countries in the forthcoming FIFa world cup which will take place in Qatar.
However, There are rumors that Chelsea wants to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as Romelu Lukaku’s replacement. The Napoli striker proved his value in Serie-A after he helped his team to finish in the top four last season. In addition, Mohamed Salah is the only African player with more than one premier league golden boots and this shows why most premier league clubs believe in African talent.
