10 Best Football Teams In The World 2022

Which football team is the best in the world? The debate will never be settled, and there will never be an actual “correct” answer. The discussion will never die down, the major powers will never stop fighting, and football will never fully be conquered.

Many of the world’s best teams were optimistic at the start of 2022. The knockout stages of the Champions League showed how great some teams were as compared to others.

Football is getting back on track. But, as things stand, which teams is on top of the world?

Here are the top 10 best football teams in the world at the start of 2022.

10. Ajax

The list begins with a resurrected historical behemoth. Although Ajax have fallen short of their past greatness, Amsterdam have recently regained their luster.

In 2019, the Dutch team had a fantastic season, reaching the Champions League semi-finals.

That team was disbanded and dispersed around Europe, but Erik ten Hag has reassembled the squad and led it to victory in all six Champions League group games this season.

9. Manchester United

Manchester United may be the most divisive side on our list, but those with longer memories than a few months will recognize that the Red Devils are far from gone.

Last season, United was on a winning streak. Things were looking up with Bruno Fernandes in tantalising form and fantastic young signings like Jadon Sancho, not to mention Cristiano Ronaldo, arriving at the club.

8. Juventus

Juventus, a historic powerhouse that has ruled Italy for the past decade, has swayed throughout the COVID pandemic. This club has kept a very strong record in Italy’s Seria A.

7. Inter

Inter have remained one of the powerhouses in Serie A this season. They advanced to the Champions League knockout stages, albeit in a shabby manner.

6. Real Madrid

While their fierce rivals, Barcelona, have faded from significance, Carlo Ancelotti’s men remain a reliable power in Spain and on the continent.

As they remain atop La Liga and their Champions League team, Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric continue to be the team’s backbone.

5. Chelsea

They are this high on the list because they were the reigning Champions League champions. It’s the most difficult club competition to win, but they achieved it. They have also won Europe’s top prizes and excelled in home competitions.

4. PSG

Many will not like to hear that or admit it, but PSG is now a major player in Europe. In both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, their form has been average, and they’ve done enough without going above and beyond, but overcoming Manchester City this season was a huge show of force.

3. Liverpool

Liverpool haven’t had a particularly “clean” season thus far, but their attacking forces include the hottest player in the world right now.

Salah is a lethal player. This season, the Egyptian King has been in some of his wildest form yet. Sadio Mane has stepped up in 2021/22, and Diogo Jota has seamlessly integrated into the team.

2. Bayern Munich

In the last nine years, the Bundesliga has won nine times in a row, the German Cup five times, and the Champions League twice. Bayern Munich have been shown to be a reliable team.

They have the best striker in the world, Robert Lewandowski, who was unfairly overlooked for the Ballon d’Or this season despite scoring 41 goals in just 29 league games last season.

1. Manchester City

The top three on this list appear to be in a league of their own, and removing them will take years. On the basis of pure tangible trophies, you could remove Liverpool and leave Bayern and City at the top.

City keeps coming up with innovative strategies to win football games. That is all there is to it.

Pep Guardiola always finds a way to adjust when things go against him, such as failing to replace a huge star like Sergio Aguero up front.
