The president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo, will begin a two-day tour to the central region. The president will embark on this tour as part of his annual working visits to the 16 regions of the country.
Nana Addo will commission and inspect some projects under the government’s 1D1F initiative. He will also visits and interact with traditional authorities in the respective communities he will visit.
On Monday,18th October 2021, the president is expected to inspect some engineering laboratory and workshop constructed by the government. These workshops and laboratories are located at the Cape Coast Technical University.
It was constructed by the ministry of education and the council for technical and vocational education and training.
The president will also pay a courtesy call on some traditional authorities in the region. He will call on the chiefs of Oguaa traditional area, then proceeds to Assin Fosu. The president will pay a call on the chiefs in Assin Breku and Effutuakwa in the Assin North Constituency.
Nana Addo will then cut a sod for the construction of the Assin Praso-Assin Fosu road project. And also the construction of the Nyankomasi Ahenkro to Assin Jakai cocoa road.
On Tuesday, Nana Addo will pay a courtesy call on the chiefs of Hemang Lower Denkyira. He will be cutting sod for the construction of the Hemang Nsutam cocoa road and also commission central oil Mills in Assin Jukwa.
The president will then move to Winneba where he would commission a number of projects,these includes, a library, community center, health facility and museum of Efutu Culture.
The president will end the tour with the commission of a lubricant factory under the 1D1F initiative, the factory is located at Gomoa Akotsi in the Gomoa East constituency.
