Delay today’s proceedings for 2hours – Mahama Lawyers.

Lawyers of the Petitioner, request for 2 hours delay in today’s proceedings.

The counsel for H.E. The formal President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, being the petitioner in the ongoing election petition, has write to the Chief of Justice of the Supreme Court, for 2 hours delay of today’s proceedings.

A letter signed by counsel member for the petitioner, Mr. Tony Lithur, stating that, he had a call close to midnight yesterday from the Registrar of the SC.

He explained, that, the call was a notification of affidavits, filled by the Respondents, opposing the Petitioner’s application of review, which soft copies was sent to his email at 11:13pm.

Also he added, that,he forwarded the processes which he had received, to the Lead counsel at 11:30pm.

Therefore, they’re with the letter, to the court, respectfully requesting that, today’s proceedings should commence at 11:30am, instead of the initial slated time of 9:30am.

His reason, was to give the Lead counsel, a reasonable time to factor the affidavits, filled by the Respondents into his argument, in support of the application for review.

We hope we experience another exciting proceedings as usual.
