According to Maxwell Kofi Jumah, Chief Executive Officer of GIHOC Distilleries, every Christian consumes alcohol.
He claims that one cannot claim to be a Christian without consuming alcohol since, according to the Gospel, during Jesus Christ’s last supper, he [Jesus] urged his disciples to drink wine in memory of him.
“As a result, no Christian can say that he or she does not consume alcoholic beverages.
In an interview with Accra-based Okay FM on Thursday, April 21, 2022, Maxwell Kofi Jumah stated, “He didn’t say drink to booze, but drink to remember him.”
He questioned the claim that there are two types of wine: alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
“There is no such thing as non-alcoholic wine,” Jumah explained.
If it’s non-alcoholic wine, it’s called fruit juice; thus, don’t corrupt people’s brains.
“There is no such thing as non-alcoholic wine in the world.” Every wine is made from fermented fruit juice.
“There is no such thing as non-alcoholic wine; we call wine when fruit juice ferments, so people should quit lying to themselves,” he said.
