At the Royal House Chapel International Church, Mensah Thompson, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), and Bobie Ansah, an Accra FM presenter, gathered at the Royal House Chapel International Church to express their gratitude to God for their freedom.
The Apostle Sam Korankye Ankrah prayed for the two and informed them that they had nothing to worry about now that prominent figures have spoken out on the matter.
The host of the Wontumi Morning Show said he had to turn off the TV when he saw the Apostle General of the Royalhouse Chapel International, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, attacking the government rather than rebuking Mensah Thompson and Bobie Ansah for endangering President Akufo-Addo, his wife, and children.
Mr. Owusu Sekyere, the NPP’s Ahafo Regional Chairman, echoed Oheneba’s thoughts on the same show, saying, “I expected him as a pastor to question the people (Bobie and Mensah Thompson) what they did before the police invited them.”
He claimed that as a man of God, Sam Korankye Ankrah isn’t obliged to entertain someone who does wrong and then pour God’s oil on him without first teaching him God’s methods.
Mr. Thompson was charged with false news publication and offensive behavior conducive to a breach of the peace.
Last year, he claimed on Facebook that President Akufo-relatives Addo had used the Presidential jet to go shopping in the UK.
On February 10, radio host Kwabena Bobie Ansah was detained.
On January 1, this year, he was also accused of disseminating false news, accusing the presidential spouses of granting themselves “state property at AU Village, around the Kotoka International Airport for the development of the Rebecca Foundation.”
