Reverend Francis Antwi aka Rev Obofour, a prominent Ghanaian man of God, has been enstooled as a chief in Accra.
Over the weekend, a ceremony was held in Bortianor to enstool the founder of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) as a Ga Sempe Mants3. The man of God can now be called as Nii Adotey Gyata 1, his stool name.
Over the weekend, the enstoolment ritual took place.
According to the Bortianor traditional community, Obofour’s appointment as a chief was made in recognition of his philanthropic actions and considerable impact in the community.
The traditional rites were done within two days of the enstooling event. On the first day, Rev Obofour was picked up by men from the Bortianor traditional council on Saturday evening, and he was out doored at a minor festival on Sunday.
Ciara Antwi, the wife of a wealthy Ghanaian preacher, was present at the ceremony, where she was also dressed as Queen Mother of the Bortianor traditional community.
Other community chiefs attended the ceremony to offer their respects to Obofour, the new chief. See the video below from the colourful out dooring celebration, where hundreds of people were treated to drumming and dancing as well as gunshots.
