The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released postings for the 2021/2022 service personnel.
Graduates from the various tertiary educational institutions are required to serve the nation for a one-year period. The NSS delayed postings for this year. This was due to the 2-week strike action by UTAG which held students on campus.
A total of 81,081 graduates have been deployed to undertake their service. Registration processes are to be finalized by 5th November, 2021.
This is stated in a press release signed by Osei Assibey Antwi, the Acting Executive Director of the scheme.
The management directs all graduates posted and accepted by their agencies to start their service on Monday.
Intending service personnel are to log on and confirm their place of posting via the scheme’s website https://portal.nss.gov.gh
However, the NSS has withheld postings of some personnel for further verification. This is as a result of inconsistencies in their registration details.
The affected people have been notified to visit any of the scheme’s regional office with relevant documents for corrections.
Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NSS encourages personnel with released postings to schedule online appointments with registration centers for validation. They must ensure adherence to all Covid protocols.
