Former President of Ghana, John Mahama, has handed over a fully renovated dormitory block to Ghanasco. He considered this move as a good idea to renovate the dormitory block for Cabral and Gbanzaba House. The President is a former student of the school, and Ghanasco is his alma mater.
Cabral House, according to John Dramani Mahama, was his house during his time at Ghanasco. It was a nostalgic feeling for him to return and reconnect with some of his mates and seniors on Friday.
He assisted in the renovation and modernization of the Cabral and Gbanzaba House. It appear to be Mahama’s kind contribution to improve our children’s learning conditions. This was done after his attention was drawn to the state of the structure of the building.
However, Lordina, the former president’s wife, also contributed to the repainting and replacing of the net at the girls’ dormitory. The name of the girl’s dormitory she sponsored is “Lordina Block.”
President Mahama wishes Ghanasco, his alma mater, a happy 60th anniversary.
Was it a wise idea for the former President to go to such lengths? Would it help Ghanasco’s educational situation?
