Shocking Moment As Dead Woman Shows Up At Her Own Funeral

According to reports, a married woman who was believed to be dead showed up at her own funeral. Rukundo, a Burundian lady, was believed to have been killed in a car accident.

It was later discovered that her husband, Pastor Bakenga Kalala, had hired hit men to kill her.

The hitmen kidnapped her as intended, but were unable to complete the assassination. They told her that they don’t kill women or children and that she may go after a few days.

Now, this is how Rukundo’s troubles began when she returned to Burundi to attend her stepmother’s burial.

“Later that evening, she was lured out of her hotel room by a phone call from Kalala – her husband back in Australia. He asked me, ‘How’s the weather? Is it very, very hot? He told me to go outside for fresh air. I didn’t think anything. I just thought that he cared about me, that he was worried about me.”

The concern for her well-being appeared to be caring, yet it was poisoned with murderous malice. She walked out of her hotel and was immediately seized. The assailants dragged her into a waiting car. They didn’t tell her why they kidnapped her until several days later. They told their terrified hostage that Mr. Kalala was the person responsible for her agony.

The guys had no idea that he was her husband. She didn’t trust them at first, but the goons called him on the phone and placed him on speaker. Rukundo was taken aback when she saw her husband ordering the guys to kill her!

The thugs, on the other hand, had formed ulterior motives. Rather than following Kalala’s orders, they opted to let Rukundo go—and give her the evidence she needed to convict her husband.

According to Rukundo, the leader of the hitmen looked at her and said they weren’t going to kill her. They also told her that they did not murder women or children.

However, the woman’s anguish was far from over. She was  held as captive for two more days before being released. Throughout the two days, the thugs persuaded her husband to pay even more money.

The group gave Rukundo a phone memory card and receipts from the money transfers with which Kalala had paid them on the day of her release.

In the aftermath of a funeral, Rukundo returned to Melbourne a few days after her ordeal ended to confront the man who wanted her dead. He was in the house with mourners who claimed to have learned about her “accidental death” in Burundi.

She took a short walk to a nearby restaurant and waited for the mourners to leave.

“When I got out of the car, he saw me straight away. He put his hands on his head and said, ‘Is it my eyes? Is it a ghost?’,” Rukundo told the BBC.

“Surprise! I’m still alive!” was Rukundo’s answer.

The man attempted to apologize right away, but Rukundo had already dialed 911. The entire chat with the assailants was taped, and he eventually admitted to setting up his wife.

According to Kalala,He planned to kill his wife since she was more successful than him. Pastor Kalala is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence in Australia. Meanwhile, Rukundo told the BBC that she felt like she had just been resurrected from the dead.
