The Words in Our National Anthem Is The Cause Of Ghana’s Problem – Kofi Kinaata

Multiple award-winning artist and songwriter, Kofi Kinaata has hammered on what is causing Ghana’s problems. He believes that the Ghana national anthem is the root of the country’s problems.

According to him, most Ghanaians do whatever they want because of a certain verse in the national anthem.

To back up his allegations, the artist used one of the most popular verses from the Akan national anthem. It says “ Yɛn ara asaase ni, Ɛyɛ abɔ den den de ma yεn”. This verse can be translated as “This is our own motherland; such a great heritage”.

Some Ghanaians, according to Kofi kinaata, don’t understand the verse and misuse it anyway. Because the song says that this is our native country, some people build their homes in unauthorized places.
